• Client is anticipating the initial phase of this engagement to last no more than thirty (30) business days after the project start date.
• The initial phase of the engagement will entail the preparation of the application and database for the upcoming new grant cycles.
• This initial phase will also include documentation of the tasks performed.
• Client anticipates any ongoing work (after the initial phase of the engagement) will be no more than five (5) business days per month.
• The ongoing work will entail correcting application errors and/or feature enhancements.
• The core job duties include analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs.
• The contractor will complete recurring programming maintenance tasks to prepare the application and the database for each new grant cycle.
• In addition, the contractor will work closely with staff in the identification and correction of application errors as well as the introduction of new feature enhancements.

REQUIRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):

• C# (.NET Framework 2.0 and higher), VBScript, JavaScript (ECMA Script Editions 3/5), T-SQL (SQL Server 2008

PREFERRED SKILLS (RANK IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):

• SQL SERVER AGENT (FOR SCHEDULING JOBS AND ALERTS) MICROSOFT INTERNET INFORMATION SERVICES (IIS), ASP WINDOWS SERVER 2003/2008/2012

SCOPE OF THE PROJECT:

• The application, known as the Grants Management Information System (GMIS), allows sub grantees to submit their grant applications online.
• Similarly, the GMIS application allows staff members to: 1) Evaluate and award the grants electronically, 2) Generate acceptance and rejection letters, and 3) modify the verbiage of each grant on an annual basis.
• The application has been online for over seven (7) years.
• The core job duties include analysis, coding, testing, debugging, and documenting programs.
• The contractor will complete recurring programming maintenance tasks to prepare the application and the database for each new grant cycle.
• In addition, the contractor will work closely with staff in the identification and correction of application errors as well as the introduction of new feature enhancements.
