Job Description: Role Specific Skills:
• Manual Testing using HP ALM
• Technology AS400 testing experience
• Should be able to work with AS400 screens, navigating through menu operations
• Should know file handling and be able to query DB2 data bases and do data setup using DBU or SQL queries
• Should be able to Execute jobs in batch/interactive mode and monitor them
• Should be able to validate error logs, jobs to troubleshoot
• Should have working knowledge of queues and subsystems

Experience
• Experience & Exposure Required:
• 3-5 years of experience in manual testing in AS/400
• Sound knowledge of Testing and Quality Control process
• Independent work experience on test case creation & test execution
• Good domain knowledge of Healthcare . Sub domain : Supply chain management, Pharmaceutical distribution, Purchasing, EDI transactions will be a big Plus.
• Knowledge of QA standards, methodology, testing phases and processes, SDLC
• Experience in usage of test management tools – HP (ALM, UFT etc.) or equivalent
• Experience in defect life cycle management – defect logging, tracking, retesting & closing
• Experience in testing effort estimations using industry standard methods
• Working with geographically distributed team across multiple time zones
• Excellent verbal and written communication ( Ability to clearly articulate project progress/status report and defects to IT and business leads)

• HP Application Life-cycle Management (ALM) – ALM BPT Framework knowledge.

Roles and Responsibilities
• Analyzing the software requirements and identify gaps, tracking issues
• Understanding testable requirements, Test strategy definition, test planning and test scenarios identification
• Perform scenarios walkthrough with Business Analysts, Business stakeholders and application teams to identify gaps if any
• Ability to present and interface with program, business and IT (Developers, BAs, Architecture, etc.) Stakeholders.
• Develop test plans, design test scenarios and test cases and execute test cases/test scripts
• Defect management during project lifecycle and maintaining test results during test execution, using standards and best practices for preparing deliverable artifacts
• Facilitating test data preparation by employing test data preparation techniques
• Publishing Daily and weekly execution progress reports
• Reviewing and getting the test artifacts approved
• Highlighting project risk and assertively sharing mitigation plans
• Imparting the process knowledge to the testing team members
• Facilitating development of knowledge repository.
