Job Description: We are currently looking for a forward thinking, creative Software Technical Writer to join our Product Management team. In this role the idea candidate will be responsible for designing, creating, and deploying training videos, user guides, engineering designs, API documentation, release notes, and off the cuff content for our award winning contact center and customer engagement solutions. Moving quickly and adapting to change requires a versatile developer-focused technical writer – someone with initiative and the ability to dive in and document the next generation customer engagement applications encompassing voice (VoIP), text (SMS), mobile, and web capabilities. Our customers and sales organizations need your creative writing and multi-media skills.


Have complete ownership of the documentation process – soup to nuts. Find right sources, collect relevant information, and drive creation of multi-media content for our end customers as well as internal customers.
Modernize our existing content while pushing the envelope on new content – while maintaining and overlaying our corporate marketing standards.
Strong knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar High level of ability to communicate effectively with others in writing as indicated by the needs of the target audience.
Strong self-starter skills to complete tasks with little to no instruction on day-to-day work
Ability to effectively and successfully create content for a developer audience.
Demonstrate well-developed technical writing principles.
Show that you are comfortable using technology to author and publish technical documentation – including the solutions we bring to market that you will be wiring about.
Support multiple business units including product management, product development, product marketing, marketing, and sales
Ability to build strong relationships with employees at all levels of the organization: internal and external customers, program leads, department personnel, engineering and technical staff
Job Requirements


Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, English, Computer Science, MIS or related field or equivalent relevant experience
3 to 5 years of working with software development teams in a technical writer role
Expert in editing and production tools such as MS Word, MadCap Flare, MadCap Contributor, Camtasia, and others
Exceptional interpersonal skills, extremely self motivated, driven, creative, strong time management, and organizational skills
Proven ability to manage complex tasks from inception to end
Experienced in creating multi-media content targeted at Enterprise business customers (contact center environment experience a plus).
Experienced in working with Agile-based development teams
Familiar with Team Foundation Studio
Proven experience with video software editing software
Familiar with Learning Management Systems (LMS)
Nice to have: experience with Contact Center and Unified Communications
Nice to have: experience with SaaS based software
Ability to travel <10%
