Job Description: The PHP Developer is responsible for analyzing, creating and developing advanced software systems using various computer software technologies and tools.

JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:


Prepare detailed workflow charts and diagrams that describe input, output, and logical operation, and convert them into a series of instructions coded in a computer language.

Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so others can understand the program.

Correct errors by making appropriate changes and rechecking the program to ensure that the desired results are produced.

Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to be sure they will produce the desired information and that the instructions are correct.

Write, update, and maintain computer programs or software packages to handle specific tasks, functions or other required jobs.

Perform or direct revision, repair, or expansion of existing applications or programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.

Write, analyze, review, and rewrite applications or programs, using workflow chart and diagram, and applying knowledge of computer capabilities, subject matter, and symbolic logic.

Investigate whether applications are correctly responding to a program's instructions.

Support Software QA and Project Management in the qualitative and timely delivery of work packages/projects.

DESIRED SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS:


Essential: PHP 5 (Including Frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel), OOP, Restful Services, Relational Database Systems experience such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server, mySQL.

Desirable: HTML, XML, JSON, JQuery, Software Development Methodologies such as Agile, Software Configuration Management tools such as Github, SVN, CVS, TFS etc.

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS:

Proficient in developing & maintaining effective working relationships with all co-workers, fostering a high team spirit.

Full SDLC experience.

Ability to work within and adapt quickly, either in a team environment or individually, to meet deliverables/schedules.

Ability to produce clean, well-documented, efficient, and standards-compliant code – with an eye towards performance optimization.
