Job Description: You should have most of the following:

Experience in reading and understanding existing code, and finding and utilizing existing patterns for common problems
A predilection for improving code, and refactoring and automating everything you can
A burning desire to not reinvent the wheel
Able to work with minimal guidance and comfortable interacting with individuals of both technical and non-technical backgrounds. Plan on learning something one day and putting it to good use the next
Execute complex development assignments requiring an aptitude of established programming standards, methods, and best practices
You will do these kinds of things in your first six to twelve months on the job:

Work as part of a development team in an Agile framework
Develop and document new features driving additional revenue for the company
Write useful unit tests for the code you and others write
Become a resource other people come to on how our software works
Improve existing code and trim the excess
Basic Qualifications

BS Computer Science, other technical degree or 4+ years documented and related work experience
2+ Years in Object Oriented PHP Development, including at least a year of OO, non-CMS experience
2+ Years in MySQL or other SQL based language, including at least a year of OO, non-CMS experience
1+ Years in JavaScript & AJAX Techniques
2+ Years in Web Development
1+ Years in Subversion or GIT
1+ Years experience with command line Linux and web server configuration
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals
Occasional 24x7 availability for production affecting issues
Strong debugging, profiling and troubleshooting experience
Preferred Experience

Exposure to high-volume E-mail service provider environments
Experience with modern development practices
Experience with optimizing code for high volume traffic
Experience with object-oriented programming in other languages
Experience with Rackspace and AWS
Experience with NGINX, ELK, NewRelic

Work with the rest the development and operations teams in a collegial, professional manner
Learning something new every day that improves your professional career
Develop new features and test cases and bug fixes in a timely manner
Write and fix the codebase using well-designed, testable, code, using best practices
Design, develop, and execute unit tests on your and team code commits
Investigate and ruthlessly destroy bugs
Optimize and refactor existing code to improve performance and reliability
Perform code reviews from fellow developers
Suggest improvements, security needs, new technologies, etc.
