Job Description: This position provides color application and technical services to end user customers. A high level of expertise is used to consult with customers in defining expectations and calibrating and profiling color systems to meet target requirements. The Color Systems Specialist is required to maintain a high level of third party application expertise and an equivalent knowledge of open system industry standards for general consulting and system implementation.

Install and support all Agfa manufactured and OEM color systems hardware and software solutions distributed as part of Agfa’s North American product portfolio
Provide end user training on on workflow and color related systems as well as standard and custom color profiling services
Consult with customers and implement industry standard color management standards such as G7 and related services.
Participate in beta and product trials by providing color management services required to implement, test, and complete projects associated with these requirements.
Complete problem escalations as required and follow through with HQ Global Services, Quality Assurance and R&D in order to expedite a resolution.
Assist Technical Support and Expert Service personnel with problem resolution through the use of expertise, on-line information and remote diagnostics.
Provide sales training and development webinars to Sales and Sales Support teams
Contribute to content development for web support services directed at end users and internal support personnel.
Participate in business lead generation by identifying opportunities with customers to improve system performance and employee knowledge through the use of products and services within the Agfa portfolio.
Provide demonstration support at designated trade shows and as needed for sales support.
Continuously identify process improvement opportunities by assessing current support practices and submitting ideas that can contribute to customer satisfaction and support efficiencies.
90% travel is required, company car provided

Education

BS in Graphic Communications, Printing Management or equivalent experience
5 years experience in the graphic arts industry with solid knowledge of color management software, including a working knowledge of the print production process.
Proficient with remote diagnostic and support tools such as Teamviewer, Remote Desktop, Webex, Citrix etc.
Completion of G7 Expert certification
Experience

Experience with Windows 2008 and 2012 Server; Windows 7/8/10; Mac OS 9/OS X, and related file and print services (PPDs)
Working knowledge of color applications for wide format printing, e.g., Onyx, Wasatch, GMG, Ergosoft, Caldera, and related color management services
Knowledge of various prepress and general printing applications
G7 certified and a working knowledge of GCR software applications
Use of color measurement tools require to assess color quality and construct color profiles
Specific skills (core competencies, key specialities, technical, human relations or managerial skills, and knowledge areas necessary)

Solid customer service skills that convey professionalism, technical proficiency and sincerity
Good verbal and written communication skills
Use of SAP business system and IBM Notes to open/close support calls and document actions
Effective project and time management skills
Solid presentation skills
Excellent application skills and knowledge to diagnose and solve system level problems
