Job Description: NCCPA’s Systems Engineers design and implement next-generation technologies based on cutting edge platforms that change how thousands of users connect, explore, and interact with information and our organization.

The objective of this technical position is to design, implement, monitor, maintain, and secure the organization’s information technology infrastructure in production, development, and test environments, work with the Infrastructure and Security Manager on infrastructure strategy planning and goal setting. Additional expectations include interact with staff and, occasionally, PAs, board members, committee members, and business partners to provide solutions to identified problems.

Essential Functions
Provide infrastructure expertise with a focus on cloud based computing.

Architect, prototype and build complex solutions to meet unique business needs.
Identify gaps and formulate solutions.
Monitor and optimize implemented services.

· Document and develop in-depth knowledge of company’s existing IT infrastructure architecture, and technology portfolio.
· Conduct research on emerging technologies in support of infrastructure development efforts, recommend, test and implement technologies that will increase cost effectiveness and infrastructure flexibility, availability, and stability.
· Design, develop, and implement end-to-end integrated systems.

Design and implement technology infrastructure solutions in the area of:
Computing infrastructure.
Access infrastructure.

· Maintain back end system hardware and software rotation/upgrade in support of NCCPA’s daily operations.
· Design and implement disaster recovery effort. Design, implement, and manage data backups both online and offline, on site and off site, review and analyze effectiveness of backup processes and improve as required.
· Extensive knowledge with network, host, application and data security; practical experience with firewalls; perimeter protection, virtual private networks (VPN); intrusion detection in depth; advanced incident handling and forensics practices.
· Achieve security architecture compliance requirements, including but not limited to: payment card industry (PCI) standards, global data privacy requirements, as well as state and federal regulations.

Supervisory Responsibility. None.

Work Environment. This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Physical Demands. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with colleagues, operate standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work. This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position may require long hours and frequent weekend work.

Travel. Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Required Education and Experience
· A bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
· A minimum of 6 years of experience as a Systems Engineer in a Microsoft virtualized or cloud environment
· Extensive knowledge and management of Windows based computing platforms
· Extensive knowledge and management of all Microsoft server based products
· Extensive knowledge of Microsoft’s Azure Cloud solution. In depth knowledge with cloud integration and cloud migration
· Good organizational and communication skills
· Team oriented approach with good people skills

Experience with some or all of the following:
Windows operating systems Windows 7 and above
Server 2008 and 2012
Active Directory
Microsoft Office 365
VPN solutions
SQL Server
Scripting/administration tools (PowerShell, VBScript, …)

Preferred Qualifications
· Experience working in a small to mid-sized company, less than 300 employees
· Microsoft certifications
· Microsoft System Center experience
· Corporate and IT security
