Job Description: Reporting to the Associate Director Core Enterprise Services, this position is the lead of the IT Architecture and Infrastructure team responsible for the operation and maintenance of enterprise information technology systems within two data centers. The individual is a specialist for the support and improvement of the campus information systems infrastructure including hardware, software, operating systems, server virtualization, storage systems, and backup/recovery systems. Duties include leading the planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, and optimizing of hardware, software, operating systems, storage systems and backup/recovery systems. This position’s responsibilities will include monitoring, correction, testing and documentation of infrastructure hardware and software, with the ultimate goal of providing highly available, reliable, secure, cost effective, and innovative services for campus.



Minimum Qualifications:

· 4 years or more experience in data center or information system administration

· Experience leading system administration teams, information technology teams, or projects



Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor's (or advanced) degree in computer science, information technology, management information systems, or related field by date of hire

· 7 years or more experience with data center system administration

· Experience with customer support in a system administration or data center environment

· Professional work experience in a higher education environment

· Experience leading IT projects utilizing project management methods

· Evidence of knowledge of data security in a system administration or data center environment

· Professional work experience with large enterprise storage, virtual, or back-up systems
