Job Description: A Sr. Electrical Engineer learns the practical application of engineering principals, achieves expertise in Electrical Engineering, and investigates new techniques as part of a team. The Sr. Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing electrical product/subsystem release solutions, with a focus on firmware development.


Primary Responsibilities
Duties include (but are not limited to):
•Analyze, design, program, debug, and modify firmware (DSP, embedded code, VHDL/C). Work often involves analog and digital hardware, requiring knowledge of and exposure to complex hardware design.
•Designing and architecting flowcharts and diagrams to describe logic flow and create a visual understanding.


Secondary Responsibilities
•Designing electrical systems for new and existing automated imaging systems.
•Design tasks include system level architecture, PCBA design (including Schematic capture, PCB
layout, FPGA Design, PCBA firmware development), EMI/EMC design and mitigation, electronic
component selection.
•Troubleshoot and evaluate new PCBAs, resolve issues with existing designs



Qualifications/Requirements
Background Qualifications:
1.BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
2.10 years engineering experience in a related field

Preferred Qualifications:
1.MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience
2.Demonstrated technical leadership capability in integration activities
3.Highly self-motivated team player with excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability
to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets
4.Effective oral and written communication skills
5.Global project experience
6.Experience with Schematic and PCB Layout design tools a plus.
7.Extensive experience with VHDL and microcontroller firmware (C code) and designing for electro-mechanical interactions, such as motors and sensors.
8.Knowledge and experience with many different processors, as well as HW peripherals (e.g. PWM, ADC, DAC, SPI, I2C, UART, USB, and parallel buses).
8.Experience with diagrams and flowcharts for logic flow and architecture
9.Experience managing Firmware revision control
10.Demonstrated ability to handle multiple designs simultaneously
