||IBM MQ Product Engineering Support
12 Month Contract Position
To proactively monitor MQ/IIB/Kafka related software and to take action to prevent potential issues and to maximize performance
Work with the Application Tech Support teams on Production problems which involve MQ/IIB/Kafka
Day to day support issues related to MQ/IIB/Kafka and associated software.
Setup SSL certificates (Self-Signed and CA Signed) for WMQ Channels
Production Support, Testing Support and infrastructure monitoring MQ/IIB/Kafka environments
MQ Server/Client Installation
MQ manager/Queue/Object build out
Kafka topic creation
Changes to support application development such as
Implement applications (queues/topics)
set up distributed queuing
Enable appropriate security
Administer and operate a queue manager network
Enforce organizational and operational standards
Perform basic problem determination
Implement clustering and create/modify topologies
IBM MQ product and engineering support experience.
IIB and Kafka support engineering experience a plus.
Experience designing and engineering MQ and other middleware messaging solutions.
Performed product upgrades and maintenance installations Multiple platform and operating systems experience including z/OS, AIX, Windows, and Linux.
Good verbal and written communication competencies required Application design and developer skills a plus
Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred in Computer Science or related field.
