||The Technical Specialist(s) will:
Demonstrate proficiency in a variety of technologies in order to effectively design, operate, and
troubleshoot a Configuration Manager hierarchy. Performs highly complex computer systems
analysis work analyzing user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or to
improve existing systems.
Be responsible for developing and testing desktop, and laptop images for agency's enterprise,
consistent with best practices. Provides in-depth knowledge of technical concepts, practices and
procedures related to Windows 10 operating system image development and support.
Be responsible for the integration and deployment of the enterprise OS using Microsoft System
Center Configuration Manager (SCCM). Ability to image new PC’s and reimage existing PC’s utilizing
the User State Migration Tool (USMT) to transfer/maintain user’s data.
Be responsible for custom developer application integration, packaging, building and customizing
configuration scripts, working with developers to determine requirements, coordination of
deployment testing, maintenance of 6 development profiles with 80+ applications. Deployment of
application through SCCM.
Provide Tier III technical support for desktop management service streams including: SCCM
administration of application packaging, image development management, and UA T coordination.
Customize installation of complex software, create test machines, coordinate and track testing, fix
bugs, schedule deployment plan, and deploy software.
Ensure compliance with all security requirements onto the image.
The ideal candidate would have availability starting immediately.
The ideal candidate would have experience and knowledge in the following areas:
System administration, system analysis, or system design and development;
Trouble-shooting and resolving problems related to personal computers, networks or
WANs/LANs or closely related experience;
MSI and EXE application packaging /repackaging;
Windows technical support experience with advanced knowledge of the Windows registry, file,
and folder security, local/domain user security, and operating system trouble shooting;
Intermediate to advance knowledge of scripting languages: DOS batch scripts, PowerShell,
Knowledge and use of tool sets: Admin Studio, SMSinstaller, lnstallShield, Preboot Execution
Windows Server Active Directory technical support experience with advanced knowledge of OU
structures, AD security, local and group policy;
Scripting knowledge to maintain in-house developed imaging method using WinPE and lmageX;
Preferred experience or knowledge in these areas:
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university in Computer Science, MIS,
Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or other technology related areas;
IBM Installation Manager and integration of IBM developing tools to include:
o Rational Software Architecture
o Rational BuildForge
o Rational Requirements Composer
o Rational Team Concert
o Rational Test Tools
o Rational Publishing Engine
o ClearCase ClearQuest
Location and Work Hours
The work hours and location will be Monday through Friday from 8:00am-5:00pm at our E. Oltorf St.
location in Austin, Texas.
