Project Scope:

Our client is a leader in their industry and is undergoing rapid growth. This growth has created the need to add a Telecommunications/Network engineer to their dynamic team.

The Telecommunications/Network Administrator position is a full time opportunity for an individual with prior, hands-on, Telecommunications/Network Administration experience, seeking new challenges in a dynamic, mission critical IT environment and aspiring to work with a team of professional, highly motivated and self-directed Information Technology professionals.


*Participate in the management, monitoring, development and on-going maintenance/support of the company’s Telecommunications and Network Infrastructure to meet or exceed business goals for system availability, stability, security and agility to grow.

*Analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems; proactively develop, communicate and implement strategies or action plans for improving or leveraging these systems.

*Create and maintain documentation required to support the Telecommunications and Network Infrastructure.

*Provide support to employees and partners using excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork.

*Some after-hours system maintenance necessary.

*Rotational on-call emergency support.

*Some travel between local and regional offices required.


Technical Qualifications (3 + years’ hands-on experience):

* Expertise in Avaya (CM, ACM/ACCCM, SM, CC Elite, CMS, AES, SIP, EPM, VOIP, SBC, CTI, etc.)

* Exposure and knowledge of IVR (Nuance, NNH, NAR, etc.), Call Recording (Calabrio QM) and Call Back Assist (Acqueon) systems.

* Firewall configuration, analysis and Troubleshooting

* Layer 2 and Layer 3 Network Design and Implementation

* WAN/LAN Network Switching and Routing (Cisco, Dell/Force10)

* Network and routing protocols and services such as: TCP, UDP, ICMP, FTP, SFTP, SSH, HTTP, HTTPS, SSL, NTP, DNS, BGP, VLT, MPLS, QoS, OSPF, Wireshark

* Network and Infrastructure Security (FortiNet, Cisco, Juniper, ACL, VLAN, IPsec tunnels, IKE, IPS, PCI, Remote Access, GridSure, SafeNet, RSA token, Physical, UTM, VPN)

* Software/Hardware Installation/Patching/Upgrades (Network)

* Backup and Recovery/Business Continuity/High Availability

* Software licensing and maintenance of contracts a plus

*Bachelor or Associate degree in Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, or related field from an accredited college/university a plus
