Job description

The Proposal Writer is responsible for writing and editing proposal content, analyzing requirements documents (RFP, RFQ, RFI, SOW, etc.), and coordinating response efforts from start to finish. Prepare proposal development documentation inclusive of outline, proposal management plan, schedule, kick-off meeting materials, compliance checklists, color team reviews, etc. Work with graphic designers to develop appropriate illustrations for the response document. Must ensure the proposal response complies with proposal requirements, contains win strategies and themes and complies with format and style requirements.

• 4-year degree or equivalent combination of work experience in direct proposal development
• Proven ability to write and edit persuasive and successful proposals including statements of work, management plans, past performance, technical approaches, business studies and corporate experience summaries for federal and corporate entities.
• Exceptional researching, writing and editing skills as well as attention to detail
• Experience with the global mobility environment preferred
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proactive – able to prioritize and plan ahead to create efficiencies in the process and meet deadlines
• Experience working in a collaborative environment and under tight deadlines while effectively interacting with a wide range of personnel.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written English language communication skills.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, PowerPoint, Adobe and Publisher.

• Research and gather business information for use in proposal development activities. Apply winning proposal concepts, practices, and procedures along with solid writing methodologies to incorporate information and themes into assigned proposal sections.
• Maintain a comprehensive content and collateral library using Qvidian.
• Interview program managers and various service leads, IT personnel, relocation experts and other personnel to collect information and incorporate that information into writing winning proposals.
• Write corporate experience and past performance sections, interfacing with program managers on contract specifics. Uses search tools to identify relevant contracts in terms of scope.
• Write sections on topics such as client resources, relocation services, system administration and integration, client and transferee reporting capabilities, end-user support and client access portals, help desk operations, and application development.
• Write sections within the management plan on topics related to staffing, recruiting, transition, reporting, quality management, risk and recovery, etc.
• Work with solution experts to write business, management, and implementation workflows and content.
• Support development of white papers and requests for information (RFI).
• Explain complex workflows and ideas in simple language.
• Write business and product announcements, marketing brochures, advertisements, and marketing specifications.
• Meet with customer representatives, vendors, shared service providers, or company executives to establish content specifications.
• Create user documentation for a variety of material, including how-to guides and instruction manuals, or standard operating procedures.
• Ensure content is easy to understand by laypersons.
• Gather pertinent information from the web.
• Work with sales support staff to create dynamic content and collaboratively combine writing with visual illustrations.
• Ensure that written content flows in a well thought out sequence.
• Write articles and reports on current trends in fields such as global mobility and product services.
• Write clear and concise policies and procedures.
• Edit SME and marketing content.
• Adjust and edit copy as necessary.
• Manage multiple project efforts with timelines and established delivery dates.
