Cognizant has Decreased its Employees’ Bonuses

Cognizant, the global IT major, actually has employee strength of more than 200,000 and is interested in taking the advantage of its talent oversupply. The IT giant added 11,800 employees to its talent pool. This NASDAQ listed giant will pay reduced amount of bonuses to its associates. According to reports, in comparison to average changeable bonuses of 150% that provided to the employees in the past, this year the employee bonuses are something around 97%. The high performers have received bonuses around 135%. But traditionally bonus payouts at Cognizant ranges between 100% -200% according to the performance of the employees. President of Cognizant Gordon Coburn said that when it comes to wage increment it will take place later in the year and that will make sure the company is competitive in this touch market. But the wage increase will be certainly modest if compared with the past years.
